Hiking on the North Country National Scenic Trail
A few weeks ago some of my friends invited me along to go with them about half way up the lower peninsula to hike a stretch in the Manistee National Forest. The trail is part of the North Country National Scenic Trail, which intermittently stretches from North Dakota to New York. Of course I said "yes" and went along! :) It was great weather, spectacular fall color, and even better company. Without further adieu, here's some of my favorite photos!
Off we go!
Loved the symmetry in this shot.
I had been having a good time, but it was this view that really clinched it as being a phenomenal trail. LOVED this view. We took a veeeeeerrryyy long photography break here... ;)
Loved this angle!
Such a beautiful, inviting trail!!
I thought the combination of color and shadow in this shot was very interesting.
Loved how these trees were such bright splotches of color!
Pure joy...
The reflection that day was quite clear; made for some very interesting compositions of the stream. Once we finished hiking that stretch of trail, we headed back to the trailhead for lunch and a drive around the local roads...
Honestly Mom, I wouldn't mind if we moved here! Pleeeeasseee?? ;)
Thanks for reading!! Till the next time...
